Custom Built Sensors

 
We are using this page to showcase some of the more specialised sensors that we have manufactured for our customers. Some were designed by us and others were supplied as direct equivalents to existing sensors originally sourced from the OEM of the machine. Click on the pictures for a larger view.

 

Autoclave and Steriliser Sensors

We regularly manufacture both thermocouples and resistance thermometers for use in Autoclaves and Sterilisers. We manufacture sensors for use within the chamber itself and also in the drain.

Hand Held Sensors

Hand held sensors tend to be mistreated during use leading to premature failure. We have developed more robust constructions giving greatly improved lives. We have also implemented the use of materials such as stainless steel and PTFE in the handles allowing use over a greater temperature particularly when the sensor is left in an oven with the product.

Specially Machined Flange and Sensor

This was custom made one off for a customer of ours. The application involved separating two existing flanges on site and sliding the new assembly in between. This required sealing faces on both faces of the flange which was all handled easily.

Manufacture of Equivalent Thermocouple

We were sent the thermocouple shown in the bottom of the photo and were asked to manufacture like for like. We also made recommendations regarding the design of the sensor and were able to offer the customer a lower price than they had been paying.

T-Bar Hand Held Thermocouple

This sensor was designed for use in a steam oven and was required to light weight to avoid tearing the food product but also robust to stand up to day-today handling by production staff as well as the tough conditions within the oven. We utilised an all welded sheath and handle plus an armoured cable for the best durability possible.
