There are now three choices of free Software Development Kit (SDK) available if you want to integrate an Optris Thermal Imaging Camera with your own existing system, rather than use the PI Connect Software the camera comes with.
Southern Manufacturing taking place at FIVE in Farnborough on 6-8 February is the largest manufacturing technology, electronics and subcontracting exhibition in the South of England.
We, and our partner Optris, would be delighted to welcome you on stand C175, where you can learn about all the many applications of Infrared Thermometers and highly versatile Thermal Imaging Cameras available in a range of wavelengths. As well as the ground breaking new camera/pyrometer and microscope lens, a selection of our made to measure Temperature Probes, Data Acquisition system and other Instrumentation will also be on display.
Happy New Year from Process Parameters!
Why not get 2018 off to a good start by ordering those replacement probes you need – our Thermocouples and Pt100s are fully interchangeable with your existing supplier. Call 01628 778688 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We are delighted to announce the launch of the new Optris Xi series of compact spot finder Infrared Cameras, a fusion between a robust compact Pyrometer and an advanced Infrared Camera. The integrated spot finder function enables accurate temperature measurements on moving objects without having to readjust the sensor.
Both the Xi 80 (80 x 80 pixels with recording speeds of up to 50 frames per second) and the higher resolution Xi 400 (382 x 288 pixels and a faster frame rate of 80Hz) are calibrated for temperature measurements in the range -20°C to 900°C. In addition to a direct 0/4-20mA analogue output, these infrared devices also offer users digital interfaces such as Ethernet or RS485. A further nine freely definable analogue outputs can be added via the external processing interface.
The Xi 80 and the Xi 400 are both equipped with a motorised focus enabling remote focusing via the PIX Connect imaging software. As well as free software, the units are supplied with a mounting nut and bracket, USB and process interface cables.
With prices starting at less than £1000 the innovative Xi series is ideal for OEM applications and end users alike.

Want to know more about the technology behind our products? Our new Knowledge Base aims to simplify key topics in a series of articles written by our experts. Additional items will be added over time, but please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any suggestions you may have.
Please note when planning your delivery requirements over the next month that Process Parameters will be closed over the Christmas and New Year Period. Our last business and shipment day will be Thursday 21 December 2017. We will re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2018.
A new leasing scheme is now available for the full range of Optris thermal imaging cameras. To avoid an upfront capital outlay just spread the cost with monthly or quarterly payments over two or three years.
We offer exactly the same service as if you’d purchased the infrared camera outright including a two year manufacturer’s warranty, and can of course provide service outside of the warranty as necessary. Most camera accessories can also be added to the lease. Please note that the hardware must be returned to the leasing company at the end of the agreement, at which point simply start again with a new lease and a brand new camera, taking advantage of the very latest product developments.
The Optris PI series covers a range of highly versatile infrared thermal imaging cameras to suit a multitude of Industrial Process and R&D applications, providing real time thermal images and video:
- – With full frame video recording speeds of up to 120 Hz making them ideal for fast moving processes.
- – Optical resolution of up to 764 x 480 pixels.
- – Available with optional temperature ranges up to 1800°C.
- – Range includes high resolution and VGA resolution cameras.
- – Different wave length cameras designed for use with glass and metals.
- – LightWeight Kits for use with drones.
Contact email@example.com for further information about leasing any of these cameras.
Optris has expanded its range of infrared devices to include compact, high-resolution thermal imaging cameras now with microscope lenses. As well as shots of an entire circuit board, detailed macro shots of individual components can be measured reliably with the microscope optic down to 28 μm. The infrared cameras come with a high-quality and easy-to-use table mount.
What are the Fields of applications for the IR microscope lenses?
The optris Microscope optics are ideally suited to thermally analyze both entire circuit boards and detailed macro shots of individual components can be measured reliably. The high-quality thermal and geometric detail resolution of the infrared cameras allows for an effective and precise functional testing of electronic products.

We would be delighted to see you on Stand 103 at the Commercial UAV Show taking place at ExCeL, London on 15 and 16 November. Come and see how the Optris PI LightWeight Kit provides aerial thermography when mounted on a drone. The combination of a miniature lightweight PC (Recording Box or CuBox) and a light version of the Optris PI thermal imaging camera weighs down to just 325 g.
We will be delighted to meet you at the NEC on Stand H55 in Hall 2, on 1st & 2nd November at Advanced Engineering covering Aerospace, Composites, Automotive, Performance Metals and key Technologies. Find out about the wide variety of high quality non-contact Infrared Thermometers for these industries, along with fully radiometric Thermal Imaging Cameras available in a range of wavelengths. A selection of our made to measure Temperature Probes, Data Acquisition system and other Instrumentation will also be on display.
