Optris PI NetBox Mini PC for use with PI series

Each Optris thermal imager has to be connected to a PC via a USB connection for both powering the camera and transferring data to the PC.  If space is tight and you don’t have room to connect to a PC, you can instead connect an Optris PI camera to an Optris PI NetBox, a minitiarised PC specifically for use with the Optris PI series of infrared cameras. It provides a standalone solution and can also act as a USB to Ethernet adapter, so you can have longer distances between the process proper (PI camera) and the process monitoring system (PC).

The Optris NetBox can now be used with all Optris thermal imaging models (including the PI640 and PI1M ). It is also markedly more powerful than its predecessor with a Windows 7 Pro operating system,  a COM Express® mini embedded board, an Intel® Quad Core processor at 1.91 GHz, and 2 GB RAM.  The 16 GB SSD hard drive can be expanded with micro SDHC or SDXC cards.  With three USB ports it is easy to connect a keyboard, mouse and processing module. The stand-alone system has the major advantage of individual user software being able to run alongside Optris PI Connect. Setup and configuration are quick and easy and the internal watchdog feature guarantees failsafe operation. For high temperature applications, the new PI NetBox  along with the PI camera can also be integrated with the Optris  CoolingJacket Advanced.
