Compact Temperature Transmitter with Process Thread
The compact temperature transmitter with process thread is a highly convenient device designed for easy installation. It features a welded process connection, making it simple to set up. With a 4-20mA output that is loop-powered, the temperature transmitter provides accurate temperature readings.
The temperature sensing capability of the device is based on a platinum resistance thermometer, specifically a Pt100 with 3 wire configuration. The sensor tolerance band options include Class B, Class A, 1/3 DIN, 1/5 DIN, or 1/10 DIN, providing flexibility in terms of accuracy requirements.
The sensor itself can operate within a temperature range of 0 to +100°C. For ambient conditions, the device can handle temperatures from 0 to +70°C. The accuracy of the temperature readings is within ±0.1°C or ±0.05% of the reading, ensuring precise measurements.
The complete stem of the probe and housing is made from 316 stainless steel and is TIG welded closed to give a high-quality single piece product. However, the transmitter offers a variety of options, including different sizes of stainless steel sheaths and bodies should you have specific requirements for your application.
Many metric and imperial probe diameters are available from 3mm upwards, however, we recommend a diameter of 4.5mm upwards to provide sufficient support to the housing.
Thread types are supplied as per our customer’s requirements and are generally BSP, BSPT or NPT types but we can also supply others such as Metric threads, UNF, UNC etc.
Additionally, you can choose between IP65 or IP67 connector options, providing flexibility for various environments. It’s also possible to opt for UKAS or Traceable Calibration, ensuring reliable and certified measurements.
