Ratio Pyrometer for High Temperature Measurement of Metals
The Optris CTratio 2M ratio pyrometer brings the 2 colour measurement principle to lower temperature applications whilst retaining all the benefits. Measurement ranges start at just 250°C and rise to a maximum of 3000°C.
The CTratio 2M temperature sensor is an innovative ratio pyrometer for the measurement of metals in applications where there may be fumes and dust present and where the lens may become soiled over time.
It is also possible to measure objects that do not completely fill the sensing spot, in fact, they may be as small as just 5% of the measuring spot area and this makes it ideal where a complete view of the object is difficult or for fast-moving applications.
Rugged, electrically isolated sensing head and fibre optic cable allow use in ambient temperatures up to 315 °C without cooling.

Areas of Application
The unique capability of the Optris CTratio 2M lies in its ability to provide accurate measurement data even in the presence of heavy soiling and low visibility of the measuring objects. This makes it an excellent choice for temperature control in challenging applications involving the processing of metals, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
