Optris CTlaser 05M Infrared Temperature Sensor
The Optris CTlaser 05M infrared thermometer is purposefully engineered to measure the temperature of metal surfaces, including molten metals. It is equipped with a short measuring wavelength of 525 nm, which effectively reduces errors during emissivity fluctuations. The thermometer has an impressive temperature range spanning from 1,000 °C to 2,000 °C.
Its versatile design allows for easy installation in environments with high ambient temperatures, and it can be equipped with various industrial accessories, such as water cooling if required. This ensures accurate and reliable temperature measurements for molten metals and metal surfaces.
The Optris CTlaser dual laser sensors offer a greater degree of flexibility in available options. The electronics are housed in a remote enclosure with a selection of output and digital interface options. The electronic box also includes its own digital LCD display showing temperature and alarm conditions. All configuration options are set via the front panel removing the need to use a PC to configure the pyrometer.
Shorter wavelength versions are also available specifically designed for use with metals, glass and plastic films. All Optris CTlaser pyrometers come with a choice of optics to best suit your requirement.

Laser Sensor For Molten Metals
A laser sensor for molten metal is a specialised device that uses laser technology to measure and monitor the temperature of molten metals without direct contact. It ensures accurate and reliable temperature readings in high-temperature industrial environments, enhancing process control and safety.
What is a Pyrometer?
A pyrometer is a non-contact temperature measuring device used to measure the temperature of objects from a distance by detecting their thermal radiation, typically in the form of infrared radiation. It is commonly employed in industrial settings and other applications where contact-based temperature measurement is impractical or unsafe.
What is a Short Wavelength Digital Pyrometer?
A short-wavelength digital pyrometer is an advanced temperature measuring device that utilises a short measuring wavelength, often in the infrared range, to accurately gauge the temperature of objects without making physical contact. It offers precise temperature readings and is commonly used in industrial and scientific applications requiring high-temperature measurement accuracy.
