With a spectral range of 7.9 μm, the Optris CT P7 is a miniaturised pyrometer with a programmable electronic box which is specifically designed to measure the temperature of thin plastic film materials such as PET, Polyurethane, PTFE, FEP and Polyamide in the range 0 to 710°C.
The sensor has a miniature sensing head which is just 29.5mm diameter x 55mm long and allows the sensor to be installed in applications where space is at a premium. The separate electronics enclosure provides a full range of outputs and inputs as standard including Voltage, mA and Thermocouple. It is also possible to incorporate an interface card which provides simple integration into your existing process control equipment. Options include Ethernet, Profibus, RS485 and USB interface and Compact Connect software.
Temperature measurement of thinner plastic films such as Polyethylene, Polypropylene and Polystyrene in the range 50°C to 400°C is provided by the NEW Optris CT P3 with its specific spectral range of 3.43 μm. For thicker materials, it is perfectly acceptable to use the Optris CT LT range of sensors. If you require any selection assistance please do not hesitate to ask.
Calibration as well as a full range of accessories are available for the Optris Compact infrared pyrometers.
