Optris CT LT Compact Infrared Non-Contact Temperature Sensor

The Optris CT LT infrared temperature sensor is a highly versatile device with a small infrared sensor and an optical resolution of either 2:1, 15:1, or 22:1. It also features close focus optics that can be pre-installed at either 0.6mm or 0.8mm at 10mm. The IR sensing head can operate in ambient temperatures up to 356°F (180°C) without additional cooling, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

The infrared thermometer has the smallest sensing head available in the world at just 14mm diameter x 28mm long and allows the sensor to be installed in applications where space is at a premium.

The selectable analogue outputs and multiple digital interfaces provide high variability, making it a customisable solution. The device has various analogue output options including 0/4-20mA, 0-5, and 0-10 V, and type K or J thermocouples. It is also possible to incorporate a Digital Interface Card which provides simple integration into your existing process control equipment.

The IR sensor also includes a programmable functional input that enables users to set external emissivity, ambient temperature compensation, and reset hold functions. Additionally, it has various hold functions such as peak hold, valley hold, average, and an extended hold function with threshold and hysteresis.

The Optris CT LT also has various digital interfaces such as USB, RS485, RS232 interface, 2 optically isolated relay outputs, CAN-Bus, Profibus DP, and Ethernet, which are available with plug-in options. With its wide range of features and capabilities, the Optris CT LT infrared temperature sensor is a powerful tool for temperature measurement and control.

Optris CT LT Additional Information & Software

The Optris CT LT industrial infrared temperature sensor can be used with an optional USB interface and license-free Compact Connect software to configure the sensor by PC and record temperature measurements instead of traditional analogue or thermocouple outputs. The infrared temperature sensor and pyrometers from Optris can now also be easily operated from a smartphone using the IRmobile App for Android.

Calibration and a range of accessories are also available to purchase, such as a cooling jacket or interchangeable lenses. Ethernet, Profibus, RS485 and USB interface is also available.
