Optris CTi LT Compact Infrared Non-Contact Temperature Sensor

The Optris CTi LT infrared temperature sensor is a highly versatile device with a small infrared sensor and an optical resolution of either 2:1, 15:1, or 22:1. Close focus optics are also available which enable the measurement of small parts with measurement spot sizes down to 0.6mm. The IR sensing head can operate in ambient temperatures up to 180°C without additional cooling, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Measurement ranges are extended with the CTi and can now measure from -50°C to +1050° for the LT22 version. Response times are also now improved to 40ms for the LT02 version and 115 msec for the LT15 and LT22 versions making them more and more suitable for fast industrial processes.

The CTi infrared thermometer has the smallest sensing head available in the world at just 14mm diameter x 28mm long and allows the sensor to be installed in applications where space is at a premium.

Integration into your process is made simple by the flexibility of the standard product which includes selectable analogue outputs (mA, V or thermocouple) along with a built in USB interface for PC configuration and measurement. Multiple optional digital interfaces are offered in order to integrate with all modern industrial protocols including Ethernet IP, Ethernet TCP, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and Profinet.

The IR sensor also includes a programmable functional input that enables users to set external emissivity, ambient temperature compensation, and reset hold functions. Additionally, it has various hold functions such as peak hold, valley hold, average, and an extended hold function with threshold and hysteresis.

Optris CTi LT Additional Information & Software

The Optris CTi LT industrial infrared temperature sensor can be used with the built in USB interface and license-free Compact Connect software to configure the sensor by PC and record temperature measurements instead of traditional analogue or thermocouple outputs. The infrared temperature sensor and pyrometers from Optris can now also be easily operated from a smartphone using the IRmobile App for Android.

Calibration and a range of accessories are also available to purchase, such as protective windows and air purge collars.
