Short Wavelength Optris PI 1M Thermal Imaging Camera

The newly developed Optris PI 1M short wavelength and ultra compact infrared camera is particularly suited for non-contact temperature measurement of metallic surfaces, graphite or ceramics. Metals exhibit a distinctly higher emissivity at the short measurement wavelength of 1μm than at measurements in the standard wavelength range of 8-14 μm.  With a spectral range of 0.92 – 1.1 μm, the Optris PI 1M is ideal for the likes of metal tempering and forming processes.

As well as seeing the thermal process, the camera’s high-performance sensor electronics enable a short reaction time of just 1ms for displaying temperature information from the centre of each pixel.

A new leasing scheme is now available for the full range of Optris thermal imaging cameras.  To avoid an upfront capital outlay just spread the cost with monthly or quarterly payments over two or three years.

As with all of our Optris PI cameras, the PI 1M comes with our PI Connect software package giving you quick and easy access to all of the features of your camera, as well as an SDK option.

Our newly introduced PI05M short wavelength camera is an improved version of our PI1M camera with an enhanced capacity of measuring much shorter wavelength (0.5μm) at a spectral range of 500-540nm.
